Armen Vladimirovich Vartanov, Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences, Associate Professor at the Chair of Intercultural Communication, Linguodidactics, Pedagogical Technologies of Education.

In 1999 he graduated from the Department of English and German Languages of Pyatigorsk State Linguistic University with a bachelor diploma of excellence, he continued studying at the specialist program. In 2000 he graduated with a diploma of excellence with as Linguist, Teacher of English and German Languages. 

A.V. Vartanov was hired by PSLU on December 19, 1999, for the position of student trade-union committee trainer. In September 2001 he was appointed to be Deputy Chairman of the trade-union organization of PSU in public relations. In December 2004 he was elected to be the Chairman of a trade-union organization of PSU students.

From September 1, 2000, to July 30, 2002, A.V. Vartanov worked as an Assistant at the Chair of English Language at the Department of English and German Languages. 

On December 14, 2004, he defended his Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences dissertation with a specialization in 13.00.02 – Theory and Methods of Education (Foreign Languages).

Since August 2006 till present A.V. Vartanow has been working as an Associate Professor of the Chair of Theory and Methods of Intercultural Communication Education. 

A.V. Vartanov accomplishes administrative functions in the university. In May 2008 he was appointed on a position of the Assistant for social work of Prorector for social and economic policy and safety of PSU. In October 2011 he became a Rector’s Assistant for the Innovative activity management and innovations commercialization, as well as the Head of a Techno-business Park of PSU.

Apart from his work, A.V. Vartanov participates in a social activity in the All-Russia Trade-Union of Education. In 2009 he was the winner of the Student Leader 2009 VII All-Russian Contest organized by the Federal Agency on Education and All-Russian Trade Union of Education. By the end of Year of Youth in December 2009 he was invited to Olimpiyskiy to meet D.A. Medvedev, the President of the Russian Federation. Since January 2010 A.V. Vartanov has been heading the Student coordination council of Stavropol Krai Trade Union Organization, which unified primary trade-union student organizations of Krai institutions of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. After the creation of the North Caucasus Federal District, he became the Chairman of the Student Coordination Council of the NCFD.   

Since January 2010 A.V. Vartanov has been a member of the Presidium of Stavropol Krai Organization of Trade Union, a member of the Central Council of All-Russian Trade-Union of Education. In March 2010 he was elected as the Chairman of the commission of higher school in the Stavropol Krai Trade Union Organization.

He has published 43 scientific and methodic works, 3 of them were published in peer-reviewed journals, recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission, one textbook, 9 methodic textbooks.
