PSLU received appreciation from the President of Organization Committee “Sochi – 2014”
President of Organization Committee “Sochi – 2014” D.N.Chernenko sent a note of appreciation to PSLU for contribution to the development of volunteer projects. On December 7, 2010 PSLU confirmed its social status becoming the only university on the Northern Caucasus among 26 other universities of Russia

11.04.2011 Anniversary of the department of the Spanish language
It took two days to celebrate glorious 50th anniversary of the department of Spanish language. These days the department was crowded with guests. On April 8, 2011 students presented national cuisines of Spanish speaking countries: Cuba, Spain, Argentina, Mexico. On April 9, more than 250 graduates from different parts of Russia and the world came to congratulate their department. And of course there took place a great concert in the assembly hall

11.04.2011 Birthday of the Center of Armenian language and culture
On April 7, 2011 a concert devoted to the third anniversary of the Center of Armenian language and culture was held. Students of all institutes and higher school took part in the concert, together with the invited musicians.

07.04.2011 Official visit of the Bishop of Pyatigorsk and Cherkessk Pheophelakt to PSLU
On April 6, 2011 Bishop of Pyatigorsk and Cherkessk Pheophelakt visited Pyatigorsk state linguistic university. The Aim of the visit was to see one of the leading nuiversities of NCFD and further partnership of the Pyatigorsk and Cherkessk eparchy with PSLU

06.04.2011 PSLU opens an exhibition devoted to the 50th anniversary of the flight of Yuri Gagarin
The museum of history of PSLU opened an exhibition devoted to the 50th anniversary of the flight of Yuri Gagarin. The exhibition will be opened to the end of the academic year.

04.04.2011 Visit of Italian delegation to PSLU
On April 2, 2011 PSLU was visited by the delegation of Italian institute of culture under the Embassy of Italy in Moscow. It was headed by the Director of the Institute, professor of the catholic university of Milan, Mr. Adriano del Asta. During the visit, Director of the Institute was accompanied by culture attaché of under the Embassy of Italy Mr. Raffaello Barbieri and teacher of Italian institute of culture Mrs. Anna Maria Corso

01.04.2011 Opening of the Center of Polish language and culture in PSLU
On April 1, 2011 PSLU was visited by minister- counselor of the Polish embassy Mr. Peter Marciniak with his wife to participate in the ceremony of opening the Center of Polish language and culture in PSLU. The concert program was organized by the Higher school of philology, European and eastern languages, center of Russian language and culture and public organization “Union of Poles on Caucasus Mineral Waters”.

31.03.2011 Birthday of ILCMCT (EGD)
On March 29, 2011 Institute of linguistics, communicative management and computer technologies celebrated its 22nd birthday. Students decorated the hall of the Institute and turned classrooms into different rest rooms. They also prepared a wonderful concert. The culmination of the event was dean’s party to which the best students were invited

30.03.2011 Students of IISTFL are on the training courses in England
From 6th to 21st of March, 2011 students of Institute of international service, tourism and foreign languages (ERD) PSLU underwent two-weeks training courses in London, after which they received certificates of 5the level of Stanton School of English. The head-master of the School especially mentioned high level of the knowledge of language of our students.

28.03.2011 Charity event “Let’s help orphans”
On March 28, 2011 students of PSLU visited regional rehabilitation center “Orlenok” where children who appear in difficult situations come. For a month students were collecting money and then bought sport equipment and many other things that help to develop children’s abilities
